The new proposal to build Hudson Yards West and complete the undeveloped Western Railyard will provide substantial benefits for New York City. Rooted in community engagement, Related Companies and Wynn Resorts have held hundreds of meetings with local residents and organizations including tenant associations, nonprofits, union leaders and more to share details of the plan, which has evolved to meet the current needs of the neighborhood and City to deliver more than ever around jobs, affordable and market-rate housing, open space, and economic investment in critical infrastructure.
Hudson Yards West will include:

Local community and college partnerships for job training
A 5.6 acre public park the size of Bryant Park
A neighborhood-focused traffic, safety, and sanitation plan
1,500 new housing units, including 324 affordable apartments

Hudson Yards West is a $12 billion development that includes a 5.6-acre fully public park, a world-class gaming resort, 1,500 units of housing, dog park, an office complex, day care, and a public K-8 school. It builds on the success of the first phase, Hudson Yards West will continue to make Hudson Yards our state’s largest economic and infrastructure catalyst, driving unmatched tax revenue for critical services to the state and city.
The Neighborhood Improvement Fund will work with residents in adjacent neighborhoods to address persistent challenges in public safety and security, ensure sanitation to keep sidewalks and streets clean, beautification of sidewalks, tree and flower beds, and public open space, and implement quality-of-life improvements as identified by the local community.
